2018 - 2019 Robotics Team
MS Robotics

This was our second year having robotics at Plainview Middle School and I have enjoyed getting to assist and teach these kids both years. They are brilliant kids that push themselves beyond their limits. They never cease to amaze me with their knowledge and ideas. Last year our middle school team placed 5th overall, received the outstanding engineering award, and high school got 10th. Both teams were invited to the global tournament in California because they impressed the judges. This year our middle school team had some technical difficulties but still got 10th place.  These students spent many hours on their own time, after school, engineering, programming, and learning to do those things as well (we had a lot of newbies this year). Along with all of that we also have a documentation and presentation process that is required for the tournament and they were one of the top presenting teams as well. I could not be more proud of my kids, and I am anxious to see what we do in the future. We have a few other tournaments coming up that I am ready for them to test their skills at.
